I am an enthusiastic and professional communications specialist, who
enjoys being part of a successful and productive team. I am quick to
grasp new ideas and concepts, and to develop innovative and creative
solutions to problems. I work very well on my own initiative and can
demonstrate the high levels of motivation required to meet the tightest
of deadlines. Even under significant pressure, I possess a strong ability
to perform effectively.
I
invite you to consider my qualifications and accomplishments:
-
Editor
of the Canadian team media guide editor for the 2007 Pan American
Games, 2006 Olympic Winter Games, and the 2004 Paralympic
Games. My work included researching and writing athlete and
coach biographies, writing sport descriptions, compiling results,
coordinating translation and website content, designing the
look and feel of the guides, and liaising with the printing
company. I was also responsible for completing the desktop
publishing of the 2004 Canadian Olympic team media guide under
intense time pressures.

Chosen as the editor of the Canadian Olympic Team’s

The newsletter was produced primarily as a website, but was
also distributed in a print version to the Canadian team.

and maintained a media intranet site for the 2005 World Aquatic
Championship in Montréal. Also created and maintained
the Alpine Canada Alpin website from a remote location for three
years.

redesigned the bilingual Alpine Canada Alpin website incorporating
easier navigation with fly-out menus and streamlining the main
home page news content.
-
As
Manager of Communications for the Canadian Sport Centre Calgary,
I increased web-site visitations by over 400% and helped the
Centre to develop a higher profile in both the Calgary and
Canadian sport communities.
